Getting Started With XLink Kai

Welcome to XLink Kai, we're so glad you decided to join the community, first things first, lets determine what OS you have to use XLink Kai

Creating an Account

You don't have an account?! Well if that's the case then navigate over to the Registration page to get signed up

Determining your OS

You've Signed Up? Great! Let's get on to the next part, determining what operating system you use.

Windows

If you're using Windows, please see the setups guides for your respective Windows installation

MacOS

If you're using MacOS, please see the MacOS Setup Guide for instructions on how to setup XLink Kai on your Mac

Linux

We currently don't have a guide for Desktop installations of Linux yet! Coming Soon

ChromeOS

If you're using ChromeOS, please see the ChromeOS Setup Guide for instructions on how to setup XLink Kai on your Chromebook

Raspberry Pi

If you're using a Raspberry Pi, please see the Raspberry Pi Installation Guide for instructions on how to setup XLink Kai on your Pi

Setting up your Console

Congratulations! You have successfully setup XLink Kai on your PC. Now to setup Kai on your console!

Original Xbox

So you're playing on your Original Xbox eh? See the Original Xbox Setup Guide to get started playing on your Xbox

Best of luck if you're playing Halo 2 :)

Xbox 360

Sadly, we have to note that if you're wanting to play 360 Games on XLink with a Stock Xbox 360 that you will need a ping of under 30ms to play on XLink Kai. However we still have a guide for your retail Xbox 360 :)

However this doesn't impact you playing original xbox titles on your Retail Xbox 360 (If your console supports it).

Stock 360 Consoles

Modded JTAG/RGH 360 Consoles

Follow the Xbox 360 RGH Setup Guide to setup your Modded Console with XLink Kai!

Xbox One

There isn't a guide yet to play Xbox One Titles on XLink Kai, however you can setup your Xbox One to play Original Xbox and 360 titles through Backwards Compatibility using this guide!

Xbox Series S/X

We don't have a guide for this console yet!

Playstation 2

If you want to use your PS2 on XLink Kai, follow our PS2 setup guide to get started!

Playstation 3

If you want to use your PS3 on XLink Kai, follow our PS3 setup guide to get started!

Playstation 4

If you want to use your PS4 on XLink Kai, follow our PS4 setup guide to get started!

Playstation Portable

We don't have a guide to use this console yet, however if you visit the XLink Handheld Assistant webpage, it should get you well on your way to using your PSP!

Playstation Vita

We don't have a guide for this console yet, coming soon!

Nintendo GameCube

If you want to use your GameCube on XLink Kai, follow the Gamecube guide to get setup with XLink Kai!

Nintendo Wii

We don't have a guide for the Wii yet, however if you use XLink Kai, purchase a USB LAN Adapter and navigate to the connection settings and input in the information that Kai asks you to use in the Metrics tab to use your Wii with XLink Kai

Nintendo Wii U

We don't have a guide for the Wii U yet, however if you use XLink Kai, purchase a USB LAN Adapter and navigate to the connection settings and input in the information that Kai asks you to use in the Metrics tab to use your Wii U with XLink Kai

Nintendo Switch

If you want to use your Nintendo Switch, if you're using a Stock Nintendo Switch you can only play the LAN Play capable titles on your switch

Setting Up LAN Play Games

If you're setting up to play LAN titles use this guide to play LAN titles on your Switch!

Setting Up Local Wireless with LDN_Mitm (CFW Only)

If you're setting up to play Local Wireless titles on your Modded Switch then use this guide to play Local Wireless titles on XLink Kai

Setting Up an Emulator

So you're wanting to use XLink Kai on an emulator? If the emulator you want to use isn't listed, check with that emulators developer to see if they would implement our DDS Protocol to gain support with XLink Kai!

Finding Supported Games

Well if you need to see if your game is supported via XLink Kai, visit the Supported Games page to see if your game is supported!

If your game isn't listed but has LAN Support, get with someone on our Administration or Moderation teams to let us know that your game may need testing.
