Welcome back, mech jocks!

We havenâ€™t posted in a while, but we didnâ€™t go anywhere.

Long story short,

The year is 2082. The battlefields of the near future are dominated by the first few generations of the newly developed giant humanoid weapon:
the Vertical Tank(VT).
An articulated hydraulic platform the size of a jet fighter, the VT is large-scale industrial robotics put to a fearsome new purpose. They towering machines wield equally massive smoothbore cannons, rapid-fire AA guns, rocket pods and guided missiles. Powered by mighty gas-turbines, they stride 60 ft over the open battlefield on long armored legs.
Armored warfare doctrine changes overnight.

Even longer story short, Steel Battalion: Line of Contact, CAPCOMâ€™s 2004 online multiplayer mech sim about vertical tanks
has fans all over the planet and they're playing it on XLink Kai!

Our motley base has a good spread of experience. Weâ€™ve got vets, newbies, and everybody in-between. If you need help them getting the hang of control and gunnery, there are plenty of people willing to throw up a match and just practice VT control. Because that's the thing about this game. Even just driving the mech out of the starting gantry, going offroad, and shooting some trucks is pure mecha-nirvana.
So whatâ€™s the hold-up? Find another new player, get in some practice on those off-nights, and join us!

We run an event every weekend(updates to follow ITT), but there are usually small matches or 1v1â€™s going on during the week too if you wanna spar or even just get in some driving practice.
