Can you be more descriptive? Are you playing within the same house, When does the disconnect occur? |

Sounds like you are running kai on two computers. Can you use only one to run kai plugged into router along with both ps2s? |

That's what i would suggest. Make sure you guys are on the same network
and only login with one Username on Kai. You both should be able to join with
it as long as your on the same network. |

Nope. As long as you are the same network only 1 instance of kai should be
running. For example: If one ps2 is upstairs and one is downstairs You should
be able to join each others games as long as kai is running and you are on
the same network. |

Yep.
Edit: Actually it may be better if one or both of you are connected to a router or switch. |

So we are in a completely new house from 2014 and we did the 1 xlink open and a router working its way to my dad's and my ps2. But we don't wanna have a long cable running through the part of the stairs. so is there any way to play in the same house using our own Ethernet cables? |

Yes there is a way u can connect your laptop to wifi and then run a ethernet cord from laptop to ps2. Look up the wireless method. |

We aren't big fans of windows and we use macs to do this now it was working fine when we had our apartment and all and but now we forgot what the whole process was and we can necessarily bridge on a mac or a macbook so. I don't know me and my mom figured it out for my dad so we might be able to fix it but if you all have anymore suggestions then feel free to reply |

Use this video but prepare to pause when you need because it goes very very fast I tried to keep the video under one minute.. https://youtu.be/MTtt6vgUS_o
this is the method you need to do if you want to play wirelessly to the Wi-Fi. The Mac shouldn't be much different than windows but I cannot guarantee that |
