For anyone who has a Mac I need help testing, the engine will work on OS X 10.6+
https://www.sgtlegend.com/xlink/binary/XLink-Kai-7.4.28-universal.pkg.zip
How to use it
Simply download the above ZIP file, extract it and run the installer, the app gets installed in the /Applications folder by default
Things that got fixed
- PS2 support
- Bug fixes, mostly carried over from the linux build
- Updated the core libraries (libpcap and boost) to their latest major release versions that are supported by the engine
- Updated the installer to require administrator rights to launch the engine, this prevents any weird adapter errors and what not
Things that need testing
- Configuration (ignore the deep port undefined error, this will be fixed when the WebUI is updated)
- Game streaming, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS2 and PS3 etc...
- Chat traffic
- Engine errors, if the engine crashes refer to Console.app for information about the crash
Please report any bugs you find in this thread. |

I tested it with PS2 and PS2 support is restored with this version. Have not run in to any problems myself. Seem to be stable. Will update this post though if that changes. |

You would need to do that via CLI, E.g.
Code: |
cd /Applications/XLink\ Kai.app/Contents; ./MacOS/kaiengine --orb ADVANCED_TORONTO |

Does Kai 7.4.28 for OS X support Asian character set? That doesn't seem to work. Kai 7.4.28 for Linux has the same problem too.
Code: |
# MBCS code page for asian character sets
kaiCodepage=932 |

It was compiled with Unicode support which should allow for any character set, can you see if the same thing happens with Windows as if it only occurs with unix base systems it could be an issue with one of the core libraries. |

Kai 7.4.28 for Windows supports kaiCodepage=932. It works fine.
Japanese character set is interoperable in the following environments.
- KaiUI / WebUI and Kai 7.4.22+ for Windows
- jKaiUI and Kai 7.4.18 for OS X
- WebUI and Kai 7.4.18 for Linux (sudo LANG=ja_JP.SJIS ./kaiengine)
But Kai 7.4.28 for OS X and Kai 7.4.26+ for Linux are NOT interoperable with the above. |

7.4.28 for OS X is compiled using the 10.6 SDK so no it won't work with 10.5 and recent versions don't have PS2 support |

I think this might be because I ripped out libWX in the linux version, apparently that carried over to OSX? |

I put it back in as part of the OS X build, the entire library was compiled with the engine during the make step. |
