I don't have a problem with downloading it. Its just when I click on Start Kai or Configure Kai it flashes on but nothing happens after that. The only thing I an get to show on the screen is Star User Interface and that just says Looking for Kai Engine forever. Can someone please help me setup it up correctly. I'm using Windows Vista Service Pack 2. And I've already tried running it as administrator. |

Yeah I deleted the old Kai folder with geekuni., installed the visual c++, upgraded to the new kai and every time i try to start or config. Kai the kai logo flashes on the screen quick then nothing else happens after that. Even when I start the user interface it say looking for kai engine. |

Did you make sure that no firewall(s) is/are blocking kai ? Have you tried using the ProgramUI instead of the webbrowser one ?
You can change the value directly in the kai config go to
-Windows Vista/7: C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Xlink Kai\KaiUserConfig.txt
-Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Application Data\Xlink Kai\KaiUserConfig.txt
and change the value
# Use Web User Interface instead of GUI program
kaiWebUI=1 to 0 |

I don't know how to make sure that no firewall(s) is/are blocking kai and i definitely don't know what ProgramUI or webbrowser one is. My problem might be the firewall thing so how would i go about doing that. Thanks for helping by the way. |

Disable your firewall(s) temporary just to test if they cause the problem you have. |

Why don't you start running the Kai engine with admin privileges, and then the gui sepparatly? |
