Finding Friends list on mac web-UI of kai

Hi I am trying to play some halo system link games with another user.

They use the windows non-web browser version of kai and claim that they were able to friend, but I don't know where I can see this when using the mac web-UI version of kai.

I tried logging into my profile, checking my messages and looking for a friends list, but had no luck.

When I used the web-UI of kai, I clicked on the "contacts" button near the very top left of the screen, just below the kai ring symbol, where the Xlink Kai Configuration Tool is.

What did I not see or consider?

Did they add you and you add them ? If only one side adds a contact the contact will be always offline in the list, the other side that did not add a contact has a blank list wit no info. Both sides need to add contacts.
