Ok ,im a bit of a noob with this so i need some help.
I think evrything is set up right but when i look at the place where it supposed to say your ps3 is connected it just shows a blue mark with numbers in it and a red with numbers in it.
I dont have a router... if i do its built in with my modem. i have two nettwork cards and one of them are connecting to the pc and the other one is connecting with the ps3.
I have no problem using internett or ps3 media server with this setup.
Any help i could get would b much appreciated. ty
im on win 7 btw if it matters |

32- or 64-bit Win 7?
Are you using Internet Sharing across your two network cards or do you have them bridged?
What IP address is your PS3 receiving, if any?
What brand and model of modem are you using? |

The IP of your PS3 is a private IP assigned by either your router or XLink Kai and is not accessible to anyone outside of your local network. For the sake of simplicity, are the first two segments of the PS3's IP address 10.253.x.x. If not, then the PS3 is not receiving its IP address from XLink Kai and therefore will not be able to communicate with XLink Kai. |

You may actually be fine then. Have you attempted to play any games yet? |

Kai actually doesn't always have to show a picture of the console or even display the name of the console detect in order for it to work. I've helped several people to get online and playing games even when all that was shown was the blue box with their MAC address.
On the PS3, is the default router 0.0.0.0? If not then there are definitely still some issues to be worked out.
Do you have a software firewall installed on your PC? (Windows Firewall, Zone Alarm, COMODO Firewall, etc)? Try temporarily completely disabling it and seeing if you can see games.
How long are you waiting for games to appear after attempting to find games. Even when there are active games hosted, they can sometimes take between 1-3 minutes to show up. If you know for sure that there are games hosted but are not able to see them after 3 minutes, then something is preventing that network traffic from reaching your PS3. |

ok, i just noticed a noob mistake by me... i had newest Kai installed.
I uninstalled it and installed the later version.
Now it only shows the blue numbers (mac adress) wich seems correct.
But i still cant join any games.
Where it says Standard router on the Ps3 it gives me 0.0.0.0
i Have windows firewall but i have tryed turning it of... i have also used portchecker to see if the ports are open and it says they are.
The game\arena rooms show up in Kai instantly... but on the ps3 i cant see anything |
