Great! Thanks for the info, I'm sure it will help others It seems from the website PSP support is for Windows 2000 and XP only which is a shame
Please post back if you experience any lag or disconnection issues using this card?

Everything is going fine, working without lag, PSP adhoc channel is on automatic here, BUT seems to be necessary to follow a sequence.
1 - enter online GH
2 - search for the wifi adhoc
3 - connect to psp ad hoc
wait till it gets an IP
4 - run kai
Have fun |

Hey guys, i just wanted to say that this adapter works on windows 7 too.
The adapter got the pspxlink mode, but somehow the wireless utility included on the instalation disc dosent works, so i use the windows utility, worked fine so far, its kind of weird since this same adapter dosent works at all on vista (no pspxlink mode).
What i did was, install the windows xp aplication from the disc with the new compability options windows 7 have, this will install the drivers too, then you can uninstall the utility since it dosent works (all we need is the xp driver).
Hope this is usufull. |

Thanks for sharing us the info, Iron.
Your threat's update makes me realize this adapter was not reported to be compatible. |

Hello Iron_Wolf, I've been trying to configure xlink with this adapter on Windows 7, but I can't get it to work. I just dont know how to install the drivers and enable the xlink psp mode. I tried installing the newest Windows 7 drivers from here http://www.tp-link.com/support/download.asp?a=1&m=TL-WN422G&h=V2 but those don't have the xlink psp mode.
I have no problems on Windows XP, everything works great there (tried on a laptop of a friend), but i cant downgrade the SO of my current laptop, so im stuck with Win7.
Please make a walkthrough step by step (with pictures if its possible) to show us what exactly u did to make it work on Windows 7.
Thanks in advance!!! |

Yup, but 7 doesn't recognize xp or vista drivers. Thats why I searched for new drivers and found those beta drivers for 7.
=(
I even tried the Virtual PC XP mode but everything gets messy with that. |

Iron_wolf did not mention any other drivers except the ones you can get from the disc provided with your TP Link.
If you still have the disc, you will be able to set it up by applying his tip. |

I know, I tried with the drivers from the disk and 7 does not recognize em as valid drivers. I tried compatibility mode as he said but that only install the utility. I tried forcing the installation of unsigned drivers and nothing. XP Mode and nothing. A virtual machine (Virtual PC and VirtualBox) and nothing. Windows 7 and Windows 7 64 and nothing. Windows XP on the laptop of a friend and everything worked great.

Weird.
I can confirm his method works since I play him pretty much often.
Are you sure you are using the version two of that product?
If so, try to reinstall the Windows 7 ones you mentioned before but with the Xp compatibility this time. |
