From my understanding Phantasy Star Portable use random timeseed for the SSID generation. Phantasy Star Portable doesn't generate Autojoin.txt in anyway, Autojoin.txt is simply a text file used by Kai Aid.

First we need the SSID from the hoster (Game launcher), ask him and if he says PSP_AULJS00237_L_fe7dffaf then you need only the text after _L_ => fe7dffaf .
If he doesnt know what you mean, then ask him for his MAC Adress (PSP: Settings -> System Settings -> System Information)
If his MAC Adress is 00:11:22:33:44:55 for example, then we need only the last 8 digits. => 22334455
|
This implies that a MAC can be used for the Autojoin.txt
Quote: |
Set up autojoin.txt
1.) Open autojoin.txt
2.) Write the SSID digits after _L_ ... like fe7dffaf or 22334455 (MAX. 16 SSID's, without _L_ )
3.) Save it.
|
Here the MAC is being shown as an alternative to the the host SSID for Autojoin.txt.
So my question is why a MAC can't be used in Autojoin.txt to play Phantasy Star Portable with Ad-Hoc to USB?
Is a MAC by itself actually usable in Autojoin.txt?
If not please show a correct usage of a MAC being used in Autojoin.txt. |

I can't tell man, I simply was quoting the very creator of this plugin but if you want to try on your own, it's up to you.
What I'm sure of is that Dissidia requires you to enter the whole SSID into the .txt, not only the mac address. Perhaps Phantasy Star works the same. |

Tried it with just the host MAC for Phantasy Star, didn't work unfortunately. I'll see if I can get some info on it and post. It'd be great to find a way for Ad-hoc to USB users to be able to play dynamic SSID games. |

I have not tried the Phantasy Star method yet, but gundam was a fail. It could be that I did something wrongly but its just not working out.
Thanks Hawk, I'm gonna try this method out and keep you posted. |

Hello everybody. I`ve done everything right by the instruction (installed plugin, asked my friend who was hoster for his MAC adress and wrote 8 last diggits in autojoin.txt), but it doesn`t work! At the firts time I saw my friend in the game, tryed to join to him and then I had an error. Next time we`ve tryed this again and I we had`t saw each other. What should we do? |

You both have each others last 8 digits of the mac addresses entered correctly in the autojoin.txt he has yours and youve got his and you have verified them ? Have you both checked if you configured the plugin right--> http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=39758 and if it is active ? Go to the recovery menu and check it. |

Oh, I didn`t know that I must have my friend`s MAC. I thought that only those who is joining must have hoster`s MAC. Thank you, we`ll try again. |

Have you both checked if the plugin is configured correctly and if it is active ? |
