Is your network reachable? when NOT port forwarded=Yes ; Port forwarded =NO
Are you using a router? yes
Did you set a static IP on the PC running Kai? yes
Did you forward port 30000 to the static IP? yes, when I did portforward, I used this port
Did you click the globe after forwarding to see if your network goes reachable? reachable for non-portforawarded only
What console are you using? X-Box original
Is your console being detected? yup!
Brief description of your network setup: DSL modem made into a bridge connected into one router
Model numbers of the router, and modem? router is a Linksys WRT54GC; Modem is an Actiontec M1000
Do you use a software firewall? What brand? Have you made any changes to it? yes/Zonealarmyes, and it allows Kai
Operating System? XP
Problem description? If I do not port forward everything looks fine until I get into a game. 10 min. in and I lose my orbital link. If I close my UI and open it immediatly, it reconnects without a problem. I thought iI was a classic port forward victim, but when I DO port forward I get an "establishing" ping and "not yet. the game is Steel Battalion - Line of Contact. I don't remember having this problem with Halo 2, but I haven't played that for years on Kai...

after you port forward try having the people you are playing with to restart Xlink a couple times. It usually fixes the pings. If this does not work leave another post.

Maybe I confused you.

it is when I port forward that I get the "not yet" and cannot see my ping...

DANG IT! Also, I'm using ver. 7.4.19 of Kai...

I understood your problem on the first post. Try having the people you are playing with restart kai a few times and it should fix the "establishing" issue. After you have done this leave another post please.
