The PS2 part of XLink seems awfully ignored compared to the other consoles on here. I have been actively recording Playstation 2 online game sessions played over Xlink.
So, thought I would start a thread up to show off the PS2 games that can be played online on Xlink.

I also created a playlist for "My PlayStation 2 Online and Xlink Videos"
(** http://www.youtube.com/profile#p/c/0A9946F0873BD351 **) So you can go directly there to not have to search for them among my uploads. There are some normal PS2 online games in there, but the majority are Xlink ones (they say xlink in the titles)
For each new xlink game session on PS2 I record, I will create a new post here so others interested in getting their PS2 on Xlink can see what the reward of doing so will be. If anyone else happens to record some PS2 xlink kai matches, feel free to post your videos in this thread as well.

I should also note that the newer versions of Xlink do not work with PS2 and that version 7.3.1.7 (found on the homepage, just scroll down or click here to go to the direct link to download this version http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/binary/XLinkKai-7.3.1.7-win32.msi) is needed to tunnel PS2 games with Xlink.

Well, In the 2 years I have had Xlink I have played Jak X: Combat Racing, Project Snowblind, Timesplitters 2, Timesplitters Future Perfect, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, Twisted Metal Black Online, and Tribes: Aerial Assault.
In my youtube channel I have up videos of xlink sessions of all those games except Project Snowblind, Twisted Metal Black Online, and Tribes: Aerial Assault. I will eventually capture some video of those games the next time I play them.
The xlink ps2 games that I play the most frequently are Timesplitters 2, Timesplitters: Future Perfect, and Jak X: Combat Racing. I just got Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 recently and it seems like a game I will be playing consistently as well. |

I have xlink back up and running at my new location and have got in several games already. I played some Timesplitters: Future Perfect and Project Snowblind on Xlink in the last 2 days. I recorded footage of both games and will be uploading them to youtube when I get a chance. Youtube seems to be having a widespread problem with uploading videos, so I may not be able to upload them for a few days.
I will make a new post here when they are available. |
