Edit: Same for a friend too. Setup doesn't open. I have set the compatibility to windows xp service pack 2. :) |
And as administrator too?
The 64 bit drivers don't let you have the Psp Xlink Mode. You have to install the Ralink's suite as mentioned in the tut to get the accurate drivers, no matter what. They won't work with Kai if not installed through the suite. |

Trust me, I didn't pull that the combo Psp Xlink Mode+7,3 version+UDP 30000 Portforwarded+Winpcap is the best for Psp on Kai out of my magic hat. It's just that I am yet to find someone whom such config didn't help. But yet again, if you definitely can't open the udp 30000 port or don't want to bother with that then stay in 7,4. |
Well, so I may be just the first one where this is not the case lol. As you suggested me yesterday I did steps 2 and 3 of your guide and now can't see anybody again. I don't even know how I got this to work in the first place but now it's all fucked up again lol, without me changing any settings of course. And I don't know what I've done wrong, port 30000 is forwarded, ip values are set correctly, tried every possible combination of xlink settings... etc. The only thing from your guide I can't do is this psp xlink mode, as I have the DWL-122 and not the DWL-G122 like in your list and so I'm stuck to this crappy official driver that doesn't even work for me lol |

Lol, this is the part which actually makes the whole difference between compatible and uncompatible adapters. Don't state that the recipe I mentioned is wrong if you are missing any of its four ingredients, the Psp Xlink mode being B.A-BA.
Your adapter requires the Netprism's chipset which doesn't have the Psp Xlink Mode. You have to get an another one then.
Guess you managed to see people in the lobby previously because of a whiffed promiscuous mode ~ . This feature does not make the adapter compatible, well it doesn't with Dissidia at least.
And before you ask, yes, many already tried before you and no avail.

As I did first time I installed it on my Xp, more than a year ago.
The official installer works with Xp/Vista/7 as long as they are 32 Bit, except as for Xp for which it also works with if being 64 Bit. However, it doesn't work with Vista/7 64 Bit and it implies you to use the Ralink's installer like shown in the guide one page ago, such guide which can also be applied for the needs of a Vista/7 32 Bit.
Don't confuse people. Not even mentioning that this thread is about the version 2 & 3 of the Belkin, not the 4 because this one is Zydas based; which makes your post completely irrelevant. |

What is your Psp's model? Does it appear either to be a 3000 or a Go? |

Oui. =)
Donc ta Psp est bien dans leur base de donnée. Hm...
Tu as bien sélectionné "IEEE" comme network adapter dans la config? Et il te dit bien quand, tu entres dans le diagnostic mode, "you have no console detected yet!"? |

Sorry for the late reply dude. I actually saw your post earlier than that but since this one will work for sure, I didn't take the time to post.
It's an ED just like mine which means it's a version 3 too. You can apply the guide without any problem then, you don't have to cancel the order. |

So I finally got the adapter, installed the .exe (as its version4 [RAXWN4501H] this link) and it said installation was successful. The problem is there is no PSP XLink Mode in the advanced options....there are only 5 options...

EDIT: Okay, I installed the drivers from the CD and now there are more options (and the PSP XLINK MODE) |

double post-.-
I'll edit this post now: when I install the 7.4 XLink I get this error: http://img152.imageshack.us/i/errorx.jpg/ I didn't have this error the first time I installed 7.4, but I'm getting it now somehow... (was using 7.3 for a while)
I have to use 7.4 because on 7.3 this adapter isn't in the list in the config |

While using 7,3's configuration, click on "check dangerous NICs" and it'll appear. |
