alright I'm utterly lost.
I installed the new engine, but it wont open in my terminal even after enabling super user (still says permisison denied) no ui that I've found for mac will let me select my engine - including kaidcommander and the supplied browsers.
I've read about a webUI which I'm hoping isn't the same as the javaUI...cause that's not doing me any good either.
I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but can somoene point me in the right direction? |

What kind of Mac are you using? The current version is Intel-only. Also, there should be no terminal or whatever required. Just use the installer to install it, then start it from your applications directory.

ah...yeah I was running it on my desktop. I missed the intel only part x.X. I'll run it on the laptop then and the prob;em shoul dbe solved. are there plans to make a version of the engine for "legacy" (G4/G5) CPUs?
thanks for the info though. I knew it was something obvious. |

I hope so. having to relocate the laptop so I can have it physically connected to the router and be able to actually type on it is a bit of a pain.
thanks for the info though |

alright I 'm running it on my macbook now and while the engine wont remort any errors when I open it, nothing comes up in the dock and none of the GUIs will detect it...
I haven't seen any clear instructions on what supposed to be done on a mac, so can someone tell me what exactly I should be doing with this new engine?
thanks in advance |

thing is once it opens it closes immediately. I've tried using the web ui after launching it and the web ui refuses to open - saying server not found. I can't right click it in the dock because it never actually opens. it just closes out and of course vanishes from the dock. so something is definately wrong.
but its a macbook with an intel core duo processor and OSX 10.4.11.
do I need to upgrade to 10.5? |

I have the same problem as same as yours. I'm running this new beta client on my MacBook Pro Core Duo with OS X 10.4.11. I couldn't get the new client to open in the dock. Once I run the program it immediately quit itself.
I also would like to know if OS X Tiger works on Kai Engine 7.4 beta |

The next build will hopefully work on 10.4 and PPC Macs. |

Hello all, let's just assume I know the basix (I've read & tried everything a few days now), Kai's running, the newest version on my highsppeed iMac, and I can get around the arena chat rooms, but I'm not sure how to coordinate that with MH2ndG's online mode at all- I go to join a room on my PSP and they all appear empty- also- on the mac version I can't seem to see (like on the PC) a place to show PSP detected. So, have any other mac users gotten this to work with monster hunter(s)?
Thx |

one problem that i found is that when you open kai twice, the little picture of kai stays on the screen unless you close the engine.
nothing much, but if its fixable, it could be cool |

I'm not the most proficient with my Mac, but every time I try to run kai, my username/password won't get accepted. I've tried fooling with all the settings and yes, I do have an xlink account, but the engine won't let me in. Any suggestions? |
