We'll see how Vista pans out. A lot of the nay-sayers are just saying what should've been obvious anyways. Such as Vista requiring a decent machine and so on. Its been five years for Vista, that'd be like using Win95 on a computer, and then trying to move it to Win2k and expect the same performance.
Give it a few years, and then get it. As far as it goes, XP is a decent little OS. If ran correctly, ya should never have any problems with it. I've gotten so now I don't even bother with an anti-virus on my XP install. |

You hear all the same complaints that you did when XP came out..Hardware requirements, bugs, drivers, stolen from Apple, etc. |

Well common sense would dictate that ya'd just wait and buy Vista for your newest machine, or download some of those bit-torrented RC's that are kickin around if ya wanna play with it.
Microsoft is a business. They're going to scam as much cash out've ya as they can get away with. Personally i'd buy a computer WITH Vista included in the package. Or if you intend on building your own, the money you save can be spent on buying the OS.
Personally I can't see it being to long before people are downloading pirated copies of it anyways... I don't know anyone who actually bought XP. |
