We'll see how Vista pans out. A lot of the nay-sayers are just saying what should've been obvious anyways. Such as Vista requiring a decent machine and so on. Its been five years for Vista, that'd be like using Win95 on a computer, and then trying to move it to Win2k and expect the same performance.

Give it a few years, and then get it. As far as it goes, XP is a decent little OS. If ran correctly, ya should never have any problems with it. I've gotten so now I don't even bother with an anti-virus on my XP install.

You hear all the same complaints that you did when XP came out..Hardware requirements, bugs, drivers, stolen from Apple, etc.

Well common sense would dictate that ya'd just wait and buy Vista for your newest machine, or download some of those bit-torrented RC's that are kickin around if ya wanna play with it.

Microsoft is a business. They're going to scam as much cash out've ya as they can get away with. Personally i'd buy a computer WITH Vista included in the package. Or if you intend on building your own, the money you save can be spent on buying the OS.

Personally I can't see it being to long before people are downloading pirated copies of it anyways... I don't know anyone who actually bought XP. Razz
