Do Kai and XBOX Live like each other?

Hello,

I'm considering getting up and running on Kai, but I'm a current XBOX Live subscriber on my 360. Question is..

If I install and configure Kai, will that in any way impact my ability to continue to use XBOX Live?

As of now, I'm planning on only playing HALO 2 using Kai.

no it will not is the short answer.

kai uses the system link feature of a game to play which is of course totally different to LIVE. you should be fine mate.

My roommate has his 360 networked to his pc where he can stream media, play on LIVE and play on kai with out having to change his connections.
i want a 360 but its too much money ( for me)
