I recently played a Demo of this game..... Razz

BLACK....Great game..Not DA Shit but close!!
BLACK....Really gets the most out of your Xbox grafix and shit..!!
BLACK....Made me laugh my guts out when i blew up shit with the RPG
BLACK....Really thought the direction EA have taken with this FPS game is grouse..

BLACK....Where the fuck is System Link or Xbox Live....No MP killed this whole experience for me..

WHY THE HELL IS THERE NO MP..WHY DO EA CONTINUE TO FUCK THE GAMING COMMUNITY UP THE ARSE LIKE THIS.....

Couple of buddies of mine have this game. AI sucks....3 headshots to kill..WTF...

Sure it might look great...but where`s the game play???

Im still playing Operation Flashpoint....urgghhh horrible graphics, but the gameplay beats almost everything else hands down.

I won't be buying that game for that reason precisely, what I don't understand is what exactly EA gets from MS for making its games 'Live' only? Unless its just spite on their part.....

Well this one doesn't even work on Live - Black will be single player only!

wow, this sucks, Ive been waiting for this one for a while but no longer interested. EA just found the steepest hill and went down it imo. Is this the same with the PS2 version also .. sp only ?

Actually I think I'll try this after all, just found out Criterion (of Burnout fame) are behind it and I'm a bit interested to see how it is seeing how I love their Burnout games.

Wow I was so wrong about this game, its the most fun solo I've had since Mercenaries (Blow stuff up, Blow more stuff up, Keep blowing stuff up! Twisted Evil

)

Its not as good as Halo2 single player due to laughable at times AI and a poor story but wow I can blow the crap out of everything! I'm at the asylum at the moment, just found a hidden machine gun and I keep replaying the same bit just to do it all again!

Hopefully Black 2 (they just HAVE to) will address the AI and story, or use the engine for a new game completely. I'd well reccomend this for any pyscho-killers out there Twisted Evil

I played this one, and beat it in a day. Now, I am certainly not a pro gamer, but if you have about 8 hours to kill, you can beat this one. Rent it for the weekend as its replay value is nil once you have beaten it. True, there are some unlockables on the higher levels, but it is not worth playing through it again. Plus, the menu interface is kludgey. Once you beat the game, you have to pick each level you want to play - it will not let you replay the whole game unless you go without stopping. Also, savepoints are only useful if you are playing in one sitting. Otherwise, you have to restart most levels from the beginning if you turn off the XB.

Agree with what you say, but I'd say the short length is annoying but doesn't detract from the gameplay, so i'd give it 9. I would add an extra category Longevity 6 as not everyone wants to replay over and over. The other things you mentioned (save points etc) are also annoying but wasn't mario like that Wink

actually, the gameplay is even pretty good. I dont think you need 3 headshots to kill someone because when i last checked, it only took me ONE HEADSHOT(in the HEAD) to kill my enemies. You probably cant aim well(no offense) ...because this game is pretty much all about aiming.

Too short, crap plot, characters take about 15 rounds in the body to kill. Headshots work but the actual target you have to hit is not the same size as the head. The animations aren't realistic looking. It looks great, some of the sounds are great too. One thing about the sound that pissed me off off was, when you're in a building and they put an effect on the sounds like reverb, why is it that the guys shooting at you from outside have the same effect applied. Its attention to detail with EA... IE none

trust me, your enemies are far too hard to kill. If your shot doesent kill em' right off the bat, they recover in half a second and keep shooting you Crying or Very sad

Well I enjoyed the game it is a good mindless killing game not to much skills involed but good for when you are in the mood just to kill and blow-up things I am happy I bought it. As far as EA goes hummm,,,, I think they just like being diffrent and pissing gamers off at the same time!

the game's ok but its way too short, no mp which is fucking retarded and every bullet is definitely not your baby. takes a dumb 100 shots to the guy's crotch to fucking kill him.
