Well, I just reinstalled Google Earth and noticed that there was a "Google Campus" link in the left panel.
So out of curiosity i clicked on it and zoomed in to check it out. What I found was this.....
....there's also another car just off the picture (above it) that looks like it's been tipped as well.
At first i thought it may just be the way the pics have been taken as the camera rotates, but after checking out a couple of other places, I couldn't find any more "tipped cars" (they all looked fine).
Most likely this is just an optical illusion caused by the way the pics are taken and i couldn't find any more examples of it, but if this is an Easter Egg/practical joke, then they've gone to alot of trouble for something that very few people would see. lol
Anyway, if you're as bored as me and wanna check it out, type "google mountain view california" in the search bar and then click on "Google Campus" on the map. |

Just looks to me like its the way the sat pic was taken.
Could be the heat and light making it appear that the car has been tipped. |

Yeah it is normal I think the image was skewed as triple mentioned.
Whilst we are on the subject, I recently sent google earth placemarks of all the relevant locations for our upcoming wedding ceremony to my folks and friends overseas who are coming to Thailand especially for the trip.
It went down a treat, very interesting for everybody to see where they are going to go on holiday.
A great app, I also have a commercial licence as I am in the real estate business, great way to identify property (even if some pics are a few years old). |

Yeah, I think all the data is 2 years old, I'm pretty sure. I found my driveway on that thing and zoomed in and could see my dad getting out of his car. You could've used that thing to spy on people if it were a bit more recent photos.
But anyway, the car is tilted probably because of the way the pic was taken. Look at the tree, it's tilted as well. |

some of the ones in the UK are at least 5 years old.
Its all different sat maps stitched together, so that one area may be bang up to date, and the one in a neighbouring area may be 3 years old.
At least with the way they stream the images they can update them as they aquire new data, as and when. |

i wonder if the military has sat webcams so they can watch live video for osama and such....if so, not working too good so far.
imagine paparazzi's w/ a sat webcam selling live feeds of celebs around the world nudebathing, or just walking down the street, etc. |
