I'm going round and round in circles and can't find the solution, please help.
I have my xbox and pc running directly into my router (one on a cross over cable and the other on a normal network cable - i don't think that should matter)
I have Kai set up on my pc and my xbox media centre, all of which seem fine. When i enable kai on my pc my xbox reads 'Kai client located at: pc IP address' and the pc will read 'Kai UI attatched: xbox IP address' so it would seem that the connection between the xbox and pc are ok???
But then when i activate Klink Kai in XBMC i get the message 'xlink kai is not established'
I don't understand???
Do i need to assign a Kai port? I don't think i have to becasue the xbox and pc seem to have established the link ok.
Please any help would be very much appreciated.

you need to fill in the network settings for the dash also (XBMC).
Settings -> Network is the 1st step. make sure the rss feed is scrolling on the home page of xbmc.
Settings -> My Programs -> Xlink Kai is the 2nd step and fill in all the information.
Aside from all that it is very wise to use the KaiUI.exe from the windows platform and use the DIagnotic's Tool that is built into that UI. This will tell you that your console and network are setup correctly and you will be good to go. XBMC dos not have this feature.

i can't open up the diagnostic tool from the UI. I can open up the config and then start the xlink kai, but i can not open up anything else????
This seems really strange as i can't find anyone who has had this problem.
Any ideas why the diagnoic window refusses to open?
Here is a run through as to what i'm exactly doing:
1) Start Kai config tool
2) Apply settings - profile to Engine only (for dashboards) enter my user name and password.
3) I then start Kai
The connection seems to be open to my xbox as it reads my xbox'x ip address in the taskbar.
Then if i try and open up Kai again (which by my readings is how you open up the diagnostic window) i just get the message that the engine is already running??????
p.s i enabled Kai within XBMC. However the xbox now reads that connection is not enabled (so i could do with this diagnostic window opening to find out where the problem is).
