I just saw a post on xbox-scene that was quite disturbing....

I know there are people out there that just want to make a few bucks but this is gettin outta hand...Xbox 360, literally hundreds of em on ebay for sale..

The prices vary greatly, they even go as high up as $2500 direct buy...

Thats like 3 grand Aussie dollars....Man.. Greedy bastards..

why?? alot of people make their living on ebay, and an xbox 360 is a great idea.
Think about it buy them in bulk, 20 units at $500, then selling them for like 400% profit, doesnt seem like such a bad idea to me.

You do realize that ebay is an AUCTION, you probably don't, so i will explain what it is. The seller puts his item up for sale at a set price, say $700, and people that want the system bid.

Quite simple really, so a $3000 console is very rare, and if you had half a brain you would look through the other auctions and see that they range in price from $800-$1200. That seems like a reasonal price, when you think aboutsupply and demand and apply it into the situation.

So, please explain how it is greedy if the other people essentially make the price?? Thats right, your post is a waste of time.

I take on board that other arn't as greedy as that $3000 console I saw on ebay the other day, but dude..Capitalism of this nature should not be supported..Auctions, General Sale or whatever...

A good example is tickets sales to Live music. I while back i went to buy tickets to "Splender in the Grass" in Byron Bay (AUS). The tickets were $90 each for sale. On the day they opened for sale all the tickets were sold within 2 hours..Yes 2 hours.. There was 50,000 tickets sold in that time...The problem was I missed out on getting a couple of tickets for me and my mates because scalpers got them all b4 most people could get down to the ticket office. These pricks re-sold them on Ebay for 4 times+ the price....

What makes me mad is the greed that is out there...And other are affected due to this practice...Same goes with the 360.....

Our better yet..Everyone looking at buying a 360 off Ebay should hold back and just buy them at the stores as per normal. That way all the stupid little scalpers on Ebay with thier riddiculous priced games console will have no one to buy their overpriced pieces of shit and they will have blown their cash by doing what they are doing..

guys, circa is right...look if you could get $100..or $2000 which would you pick? Greed is human nature! He is not actually being greedy, HE NEEDS MONEY! so do you, me, and the rest of the people in the world!

There are some pathetic losers who will spend $3000 on an xbox 360...you know why? Because they have no life! I was gonna buy the 360 the day it came out but couldnt due to my stupidity and didnt pre-order and i'm SOOOO glad I didnt!

Because- There are many errors that many people are getting that microsoft is pretending to act like it isnt a big deal (a basic coverup).

So yes, if you want a 360 just wait it out a bit...not like its really a big deal to get...trust it isnt what its hype up to be.

I think it's a shame that this guy doesn't want to keep it, but I agree that it's incredibly smart as far as the business aspect goes. If there's a 400-500% profit to be made, why would you not want to make it? Especially if there is someone dumb enough to pay that kind of money, then more power to them. I thought about selling my core system/hdd/PGR3 on Ebay with a $700 reserve....and I would have gotten it too. But the fact is, I want to keep it and play it, but that doesn't make this guy that sold his wrong. Hell, my buddy bought a premium pack and Perfect Dark Zero and the bidding on it is up to $1,800 already and there's 3 days left on the listing.

Also about the overheating : this is only speculation, but I know 3 people besides myself have the core and none of them have any probs. I'm willing to guess that it's a problem with either the premium system itself or idiots storing the system/power supply in poorly ventilated areas. My system and power supply DO get really hot, but it's low to the ground and on a glass shelf so it's getting plenty of cooler air.

What about the gamers who have been waiting for Xbox 360 to come out for months and now they have to wait for some Buisness man (Scalper scum I like to calls them) who wants to buy a handful of Xbox 360 and sell them all over the RRP which in most countries is Illegal (Against Trading Legislation)...
