Hi...
I was thinking to let xbmc handle my xlink UI ...
i wanted to do that by:
I have 2 linksys wrt54gs routers...
I have one router on which i have all cabled setup....
so my wan connection, pc connection and both xboxes ...
Now i wanted to do the following...
Use WDS link to bridge the wan router to the other router... and hook up another xbox on that one, letting it run the UI of xmbc all the time. I can switch between the AV channels on the TV ...
Now my question is.... will this setup be unstable cause it runs over a wireless link... ???
The engine runs on the cabled router.... will controlling the engine with a UI over a wireless connection interfere with the performance?
any reply would be appreciated.
with kind regards,
Marco |

This setup will work fine
Just make sure not to run the engine on the client WRT - having 2 running engines on the same LAN will break everything.
Stability will be just fine - it's probably the nicest way to set it up - especially if you can find a 2nd TV for the UI

I've already got a second TV, but its used for playing also ...
My thought was: Setting up the alternate xbox to AV2 .... as easy as tapping a button to see the room messages etc ...
I will test this tonight ....
I sure hopes the kai engine will work in the Talisman firmware ...
With kind regards,
