I have a curious problem, xlink works just fine, but Ive noticed when xlink is connected if I shut down my xbox, the pc restarts.. what can I do to stop it from doing this?
Im using a DSL connection in windows XP and a board based network card. |

Hmm.. no , the Modem is connected via USB so Im not using a bridge.
I think theres a misunderstanding though. Xlink works fine I can connect to the pc and play, however when I finish playing (or I want to swap the disc) If I shut down the xbox the PC restarts. |

I was Assuming I didnt had one, but it turns out I DO. But when I try to remove it, Im unable to connect to the xbox again. I have a MAC bridge under windows xp.
So how can I connect to without the bridge? |

Ok. PROBLEM SOLVED. Thank you so much!
For those reading: if you are having this problem, themost probable cause is the XP network bridge, you need to set a bridge less internet connection and (in most cases) port forward the xlink port to it.
I found the instructions on how to do it here:

The link was right here in this forum. |
