Being a big xlink supporter and playing a ton at school, I've come home for summer and got a new router. Recently hooked the xbox up and configured everything correctly and I can't get xlink to show games on the box. Here is the situation:
Is your network reachable? Yeah
Are you using a port-forward? Yeah (finally it told me that i needed to forward a port.... after a day of tinkering.)
Is your console being detected? Yeah
Brief description of your network setup: Belkin Pre-N (F5D8230-4)wireless router, but PC and XBox are hardwired to the router.
Do you use a software firewall? No other than Windows' firewall, but I forwarded that port via the control panel.
Operating System? WindowsXP Home + SP2
Problem description? Network light is blinking once every second on X3 faceplate (which it has never done before). So after following every readme (plus I've been playing xlink for a damn long time), I can't find any games. They don't show up. I also have another router up at school which I usually play with... but I just purchased the Belkin for home use and it won't work. Now I'm no dummy, I know how to setup a router, and how to configure just about everything... like I said I've been using xlink for a long time.
Here is the config stuff:
[KaiUserConfig]
kaiUsername=
kaiPassword=
kaiPort=30000
kaiDeepPort=0
kaiAccept=LOCAL
kaiTimeout=NOUI
kaiNIC=0
kaiLaunch=BOTH
kaiHomebrew=OFF
kaiPAT=OFF
kaiAutoLogin=ON
kaiAllowBadNICS=OFF
kaiWireless=
kaiUI=Default
Recap:
Have played this for a good long time. Xlink is set up correctly (port 30000 forwardedXlink finds network and connects to kai. In right arena. X3's network activity light blinks (but not as rapidly as usual). System link games just dont show up like usual. All my shizzy is hardwired to the router, no wireless crap.
Played with the NAT settings, and selected the NIC... still no dice.
I have cox highspeed internet. Anyone have issues with them?
Also have the Belkin Pre-N router. Anyone have any sucess with that? Might upgrade to the Linksys firmware but that shouldnt change my situation.
Currently, I need to play some games online. I'm in withdrawl. Twitching and stuff. It's either xlink or beer.... wait its usually both, but now its just beer. That just can't stand. Any help at all would be awesome.

Well I am replying to myself because I figured out that my router wasnt doin it for me. I upgraded the Belkin firmware to the Linksys firmware and Xlink started working. I had all the settings correct. So if you have the Belkin Pre-N router and its not working with Xlink, try upgrading the firmware. If you don't know what i mean, type in google 'Belkin Pre-N Linksys'. Hope this helps someone.
