How to start Halo 2 (vanilla) instead of map pack

I have the vanilla version of Halo 2 on my xbox HDD, alongside with some map packs (modded versions of Halo 2), e.g., Killtrocity.

Whenever I want to join a game using XBMC, it launches Killtrocity instead of the normal Halo 2 installation. How can I make XBMC / XLink Kai launch the proper game? I tried renaming the folder and the default.xbe title. I do not understand what the deciding factor is.

I do not want to remove Killtrocity from my HDD or game folder. Unfortunately, the manual for the XLink Kai manual for Xbox is not available any more (link is dead).

start the game you want from the default.xbe file make it direct, maybe it will work if you don't have to delete one or at least pass it to the pc so that you don't lose the game.
