Walk me through steps on how to set up for GT4? Im new

I am new here, and I want to learn how to play Gran Turismo 4 online using Xlink. I've tried figuring it out myself, and I've managed to get all of the hardware set up correctly (LAN cable plugged in also with everything else sorted) and to get to the point wherein my PC will detect my PS2 in the Metrics tab. Right now, it says "Wrong IP detected!" I don't know what this means, and could anyone tell me how to fix it? Also, I need to know how to actually host the lobbies. Could someone walk me through that? Because I really have no idea.

Do you have the last two hex digits of your PS2 mac address you would need them. Go here http://teamxlink.co.uk/ipcalculator.php type in the last digits and use the information it gives you in your network configuration on your PS2.
