Hi all!

I really enjoy Xlink Kai and I'd like to see it become even more accessible through the Xbox. I'd like to start by developing an Addon Script to give people access to their Xlink friends list from the Xbmc4Xbox dashboard. This is my starting point.

Overall I'm going to work on a gaming-focused skin for Xbmc4Xbox that returns the Xbox to it's gaming roots. I'd love to figure out full Xlink integration of some sort (sort of like building elements of WebUI into a section of Xbmc). This is a long-term goal that will take some time. I realize that Xlink used to be integrated into an old build of Xbmc4Xbox, and my goal is to do that differently to make it more approachable and easier to interact with.

I'd like to start by integrating our Friend's List into Xbmc through a script if possible. Something basic that shows if they are online and includes a messaging option if possible.

Any thoughts on this, and are there API's available for Xlink that can be used for this sort of project?

I don't think we have anything documented, but I would suggest looking at the javascript code that runs the web UI.

Also XBMC used to have built-in Xlink Kai integration, so you may be able to dig through older source to find something you could use.

I appreciate your answer! I was already thinking along those same lines. I'll see what I can find and I'll let you guys know if I get something working.

It's a little dated but most of the api is described in the following: http://teamxlink.co.uk/api/ui_api_7.0.1a.zip
