In that case, you should get whoever wrote it to email TD - this can be integrated fairly easily.

sorry to be a know-it-all and comment on a old forum topic but... The dreamcast had a 10Base T adapter in Europe and some parts in Asia, and all peripherals are region free but I suggest getting one from the U.K. because the browser software/ driver will be in English if you get the disc with it. Also the browser still works but the system link wasn't done through a Ethernet connection but you can hook it up and play people across the web as long as you have a server IP address because that's how you can do system link without someone there, or with someone on your router like how you can with XBox. The system itself is obviously a predecessor to the XBox because it has the same OS but a updated version I.E. Windows CE which in later versions when Windows XP came out and when the XBox came out Windows CE added NT file system support, The same manufacturers of the disc drive and other parts, and Sega has said in a very few number of articles and documentaries that Sega had partnered with Microsoft for the dreamcast. Microsoft had the contract still in place though the dreamcast failed due to the company who made the graphics chips went belly up and the Mysterious "Supplier" who gave Sega everything for the system which looking at it's front next to the controller ports on the right hand side plus the inside chip for the operating system (Windows CE) we can see now that it was Microsoft and that's why the first year of the XBox most if not all games were re-ported and brought to the XBox from the Dreamcast. I saw in a interview during early 2000s that Microsoft was at E3 the year the Dreamcast secret locked door beta test was going on and they were looking at the gaming market for Sega to see if the Dreamcast would be a good system because the last 3 failed in the U.S. Market in terms of sales (Sega CD, Sega 32x, Sega Saturn), which Microsoft in another interview has said "What did the Dreamcast do wrong that we can Improve on the XBox" for their mind set of how to create a better console. They improved by having a updated graphics processor, a updated central processor, a updated Ethernet connection right out of the box, the first few had a Hard Disk Drive for save data which because of hackers was later taken off and a memory card was put in, and they added 3 buttons (White, Black, Select) and another analog stick was added too. The system controller itself had a slight issue in the U.S. Market because it was to bulky and had extra space that wasn't used which they did this because most Americans have big hands or as they put it "Fat Fingers" but Americans didn't like it so they then brought over the design from the Asia market from listening to the complains of the people living in America. The system also like the Dreamcast had on it's controller 2 ports which originally were for 1 rumble pack, and 1 Microphone which other than the port the mic and rumble used and the color the microphone was identical to the Dreamcast one. They later changed the controller's firmware to have a built in rumble and they added a memory card, left the microphone the same, and discontinued making rumble packs. Hope this helps you all understand how to play games from the dreamcast to other dreamcast systems and it's history with the XBox history too. |
