Hi, I have problem using xlink to play monster hunter portable 3 on PSP.
I connect the macbook to the internet by wire, and then use the built-in wireless card in macbook to connect PSP, everything is fine and I can see other players in the game. However, when the quest is started, i will disconnect with all the other players.
The only way I can play is to play with another 1 player, I will have no problem. If I play with another 2 or 3 players, then the problems occur.
Anyone knows how to fix this problem? If you can provide any advice that would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Can you examine the built-in wireless chip of your Macintosh?
Code: |
In Top left Apple symbol, choose About this Mac, then click More Info.
In the Contents pane, select Network->AirMac, then you see Firmware Version. |
If it is Broadcom, I think that it is a cause. When you enter the quest at the party of three players or more, ping worsens immediately after the entering the quest, I think that the communication becomes unstable. Finally, disconnection message appears. A similar problem occurs when the Broadcom wireless card is used on Linux and Windows. For example, the built-in wireless of the my Macintosh.
Code: |
Model Name: MacMini 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Wireless Card Type: AirMac Extreme (0x14E4, 0x90)
Wireless Card Firmware Version: Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 |
I heard the problem doesn't occur when built-in wireless is Atheros. For example, the built-in wireless of the below model is Atheros.
Code: |
Model Name: iMac 27inch 2.93GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Wireless Card Type: AirMac Extreme (0x168C, 0x8F)
Wireless Card Firmware Version: Atheros 9280: 2.1.9.8.1 |
You should use the compatible adapter without using build-in wireless. If you use the usb adaptor of the wireless chip of Ralink and Realtek, I think that you can play the quest at the party of four players.
