Setup: OSX 10.6.3
Kai Engine: 7.4.18 (the OSX universal Beta)
Port Forwarding router to local machine port 30000 and 34522
Keep on getting the same issue: Kai Engine Unable to Contact XLink Server.
Also, probably more of concerning is that I can't access the UI to configure Kai. Is there any .cfg or .txt file I can manually modify to ensure the engine is configured properly?
Here's a screenshot.
Thanks in advance.

Sun_Lizard one clarification, port forwarding is only for Port 30000 Protocol UDP.
To Start or Configure the Kai try the following:
To Start Kai : http://127.0.0.1:34522/
To Configure Kai : http://127.0.0.1:34522/config.htm
Note : Copy the URL in your browser |

You have to actually run the engine first.... |

Check.
I understand its UDP only. Thanks for that, though.
Currently my configuration is (DMZ's) not firewalled.
There's a brief point where Kai is looking for the orbital and I can actually access the configuration utility. (localhost:34522/config.htm) But since its looking for an orbital and shuts down when it doesn't find one it won't save anything or display the full information.
There's another bit of information that's useful, for about 20 minutes last night I was actually able to connect indicating my configuration was okay (ie: runs on machine, finds an orbital, and at least the chat functions work.)
I've found the configuration file (ie bypassing the need for the webui config,
its in \Volumes\<HDD>\Applications\kaiengine.app\Contents\Resources\kaiUserConfig.txt but haven't found an orbital list that I can modify.
Any ideas?
PS if any of you want to manually modify the userConfig file just ensure you fix permissions when done... |
