Call of Duty 4 BETA

Who had this, and what are your thoughts about it? I had never played Call of Duty series before playing this, and I loved it. I am not a big fan of the old WW type games and weapons. At any rate, the game was beautiful graphically, the gameplay was realistic and varied. I will definitely be getting this game, and I could argue that I enjoyed this better than Halo 3, which is also a very nice game. Who else had the BETA, and what did you think?

It was a good game. As said, the graphics are nice (Even on a standard TV).
The realism was great, love being able to shoot through a wall.

Gameplay was nice for the most part. Sometimes the spawns seemed off, and sometimes the weapons seemed inconsistent.

Anyways, it will be a buy for me.

Sometimes I thought the weapons seemed inconsistent too, until i realized that there are SO many factors that come into play, i.e.- what perks i have equipped, what perks the OTHER person has equipped, whether i'm moving or not while shooting, etc. For instance, with the Uzi equipped with Steady Aim and Extra Damage, I might kill someone quicker than I would kill someone who has Juggernaut (Extra Health) equipped. I think that's part of what makes the game exciting, is that you never really know what to expect from the enemy.

it would be cool if you could setup booby traps in the ground or some shit a la vietnam.

Well I don't know about booby traps, but you can plant explosives on the ground/wall and wait for enemies....

This game is a keeper. Only played the beta for a few weeks and loved the multiplayer. All the other CODs I only played the single player.

Anyone remember their kill/death ratio? Mine was 1.4 Very Happy

And yes, Dalton I know yours was higher than mine....boon

Funny part about it is, you can lose and still have fun! Except when fools start glitching onto the rooftops and stuff....that kinda irritates me

Quite simply i thought it was amazing. You can play it fast and furious,or take it slow and deadly.
Its a must have title.

you can ask anyone who plays H3 with me regularly how many times they've heard me whining how I just want COD4 back. Laughing

I think it's gonna be a fantastic game. I was completely into the beta.

mine was about 1.27 and i had 20% accuracy. last i played was atleast 2wks ago, i got bored of the same 3 maps.
