I've got a little rant. Since we're all mostly mature and intelligent adults, I figured this would be a good medium.

I've been debating with a few people the effects of global warming, and was amazed by the responses I got. Mostly with people calling it all propaganda. Or films such as "An Inconvient Truth", being liberal propaganda. Just because Al Gore's a political figure, they figure that whatever he says in the film is aimed at circumventing Bush's term in office. ( Which Bush is quite capable of doing himself. )

Since when did learning facts and actually understanding the concepts become propaganda? I saw this with the last US election as well. People insist that Kerry was an evil man, aimed at introducing the draft, and running America into the ground. When I pointed them to "Fahrenheit 9/11", they boosted it was propaganda. Yet conviently forgot about Bush launching a war on terror in a country that wasn't linked to any, or didn't have any WMD's.

Are people truly that ignorant that they'll refuke anything that is deemed propaganda by those who don't wish to agknowledge the facts?

Now i'm assuming you all understand that global warming is indeed real, and isn't some conspiracy to undermine the production and consumption of oil and fossil fuels, and that Bush led a war into a country based on furthering interests in corporate business' that have gained billions based on it.

Its amusing really people who will call these idea's propaganda, or falsehoods.
