Hmm.. now that's odd.. I was assured that if there was a ping limit, it would be in the region of the old Lighthouse based Ubi games (about 150ms)...
This is bad news..

Dissapointed Tom Clancy fails us with another product atleast this game is good and the only thing from making it great is shitty ping limits. |

Ya I tried it with somebody at around 85 and got "session no longer available" with either of us trying to host. |

This is not encouraging. I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of this 360 before its too late. These ping limitations are going to kill it. |

I'm a bit torn myself... The graphics and sound are great, but in a lot of ways I think the gameplay is a step backwards from Summit Strike. I really love all of the server options, and finally Mr. Elite Special Forces Guy can throw a grenade more than 50 feet - although they still bounce back in your face a lot more than they should. On the other hand...it's the little things that count:
Apparently in the year 2013 they haven't invented the frickin COMPASS so you have to keep checking your map to orient yourself.
The cross-com thing just gets in the way (but at least you can turn it off).
The herky-jerky aiming is much more arcade-ish and you can't move your crosshairs quickly enough to keep up with a moving target when you're zoomed in. Aim sensitivity is not adjustable.
There are waaay fewer guns to choose from, and there's no silent sniper rifle or claymores.
They didn't do anything about spawn camping, so sharpshooter/CTF/Hamburger Hill, etc are still just as annoying.
There are only 10 multiplayer maps and a few of them are horrible. Dry Dock is a joke - it belongs in Splinter Cell not GR. Boneyard is ok with up to maybe 6 people playing, and I'm on the fence with Desert Gulch. Rocky Cove is my favorite of the 10, combining open spaces with ample mixed cover.
I'd much rather have the old Vietnam-era starlight night vision than this new infrared mess.
You no longer get post-game stats like hit %, shots fired, who killed who, etc.
If they could combine the graphics & sound, server options, and throwing arm in GRAW with the gameplay from GR2:SS I think they'd have a much better game on their hands. |

Pretty neat round up of the game there, I had been looking forwardto this game for a long time but I dunno now, and I havent even played it yet, suppose what everyone wants to really know is, is it worth the £50 price tag? At least in the GAME store you get the 10 day money back thingy, only trouble is, theres not a lot else to choose from at the moment hehe |

Well GR:AW is EASILY the best multiplayer game on 360. The single-player campaign in COD2 on Veteran difficulty was one of the best shooters I've ever played though..I'm up to the 4th mission in GR:AW and so far the single-player campaign isn't nearly as fun or as engrossing as COD2. The constant breaks in the action to hike over to the next staging area, and the near-constant chatter/video uplinks/etc over the comm unit are just annoying. |

I believe I saw an option for some spawn invulnerability timer or something? I guess that should take care of the spawncamping a bit.. |

Ya that was there in GR2 as well.. but you can't shoot while you're invulnerable so the camper just has to time it right. LMS and Siege are more fun in my book anyway, but it would have been nice to have a playable game type with respawns. |
